Our Reason Tournament - Diamonds Rallying for the Cortes Family

This tournament is being held in loving support of the Cortes family, who recently experienced the heartbreaking loss of their son, Irvin Gabriel “Gaby” Cortes, while he was in college. Gaby and his family have been avid supporters and active members of our volleyball community.

About the event
This tournament is being held in loving support of the Cortes family, who recently experienced the heartbreaking loss of their son, Irvin Gabriel “Gaby” Cortes, while he was in college. Gaby and his family have been avid supporters and active members of our volleyball community. Ari Cortes, a current member of our 17 Teal team, has proudly played with Texas Diamonds for many years, making this loss especially close to our hearts.
All proceeds from team registrations, entry fees, and fundraiser T-shirt sales will go directly to the Cortes family. This event is an opportunity for us to come together as a Diamonds family and as a volleyball community to support one of our own during an incredibly difficult time.
We invite everyone to join us in honoring Gaby’s memory through unity, generosity, and love—reminding us that in times of loss, we lean on one another.
